The first in a series of events planned by Napier University‘s Centre for Timber Engineering and wood. for good will take place on February 1.

The event, which aims to highlight some of the most up-to-date thinking on the use of engineered timber in construction, will bring together several of the UK’s top timber engineers with the architects of some of the best recent timber buildings.

The one-day conference, entitled “New Approaches to Engineered Timber in Contemporaary Architecture” will be held in the Lindsay Stewart Lecture Theatre at the university’s Craiglockhart Campus in Edinburgh – an engineered timber structure designed by Gordon Cowley, one of the conference speakers.
