The planters have been specially made to fit over interchangeable plastic troughs and can be transferred and used in different areas of the hospice grounds. The design will also help prevent the soil from damaging the timber.
“The benefit of these planters is that they can be easily removed from the plastic troughs when the gardening volunteers want to alternate the flowers and shrubs they have on show,” said Pat Burke, chairman of NETTA.
