NHG Timber Ltd is now acting as UK and Ireland agent for Patrick Lumber Company of Portland, Oregon.
The Surrey-based company is marketing a variety of pacific west coast clear softwoods such as western red cedar, Douglas fir and hemlock.
Patrick used to operate from its own office in the UK which has now closed. This has enabled NHG, primarily a hardwood agency, to add to its portfolio of softwood suppliers including American southern yellow pine, Honduras pitch pine and softwoods from France.
Company spokesman Stuart McBride said: ‘This diversification indicates the strength and depth of the company and its continued development.’
