The Builders Merchants Federation (BMF) has continued its centenary celebrations with the presentation of an engraved silver salver from the National Merchant Buying Society (NMBS).

BMF chairman Kevin Cubbage was presented with the salver by NMBS chairman Rodney Bennion at the latter’s annual gala dinner dance on October 25.

“It was at once a very thoughtful and a very timely gesture of NMBS to acknowledge the BMF’s contribution to the industry this way,” said Mr Cubbage.

“At testing times like these, it’s more important than ever for merchants and suppliers to talk to one another and share best practice.”

The BMF celebrated its centenary with two days of events, including the BMF Belfry Golf Challenge and the centenary dinner at the Belfry Hotel on October 6, with the members’ day at the National Motorcycle Museum on October 7.
