“A large part of our business is with merchants and we are committed to helping our customers be successful by working in partnership,” said sales director Maurice Fitzgibbon. “The BMF plays a pivotal role in bringing together merchants and suppliers for the benefit of the industry and we look forward to playing our part, in particular within the Timber Forum.”
BMF managing director John Newcomb said Norbord’s joining the BMF was timely. “Timber is a highly technical product area with a wealth of opportunity as the housing market continues its recovery. The BMF’s aim is to bring together the widest grouping of merchants and suppliers operating in this sector, both to advance their voice with legislators and to ensure members have all the information required to help them develop the market.
“I am delighted that Norbord see the value of this process and look forward to working with them,” Mr Newcomb added.
