Norman Willemsen to leave Kebony

Wood modification company Kebony has announced that Norman Willemsen has decided to leave the company after four years of service to pursue new challenges, with the mutual agreement and the best wishes of the Board.

Mr Willemsen leaves Kebony with a strong track record having led the company through an exceptionally challenging period and having progressed several key initiatives. Amid soaring input process, he improved the company’s business economics, simplified the ownership structure, and further internationalised the company, especially in North America. He championed Kebony’s mission and was a tireless advocate for sustainable alternatives to tropical hardwood in construction.

Kebony’s board of directors has appointed Jean-Baptiste Clavel to succeed Norman Willemsen in the post of chief executive officer. Mr Clavel is an experienced business leader with an excellent track record of developing commercial functions and enhancing sales strategies in construction-focused enterprises. He’s previously held senior leadership positions at Zodiac Pool Systems and The Coleman Company Inc. where he managed complex strategic developments and spearheaded major innovations.
