A mouldings plant is to be closed in New Zealand’s North Island, with the loss of 110 jobs.
The Timber Management Company will shut the Mt Maunganui factory on September 30, when a management contract with Fletcher Challenge Forests Ltd ends. The plant is believed to have been unprofitable for some time.
Fletcher used to own the factory in partnership with China International Trust & Investment Corporation.
