Geoff Jennings, former area sales executive for Jennor Timber, died at the end of May.
Mr Jennings, who was well-known and respected throughout the industry, worked in the timber trade for more than 40 years, including at Hollis Bros & Co Ltd and John Lenanton & Sons Ltd.
He joined Jennor Timber in 1995 and worked there as external area sales executive for Essex and east London until 2006 when he retired.
Mr Jennings had a busy retirement, enjoying golf and indoor and outdoor bowls.
He leaves his wife, Joan, two sons and five granddaughters.
