James Clayton “Jim” Hamer, former president of the National Hardwood Lumber Association (NHLA) and the Appalachian Hardwood Manufacturers, died on March 17 in Kenova, West Virginia. He was 73.
The owner of Jim C Hamer Company, Mr Hamer was NHLA president from 1992-94.
He is survived by his wife Gladys.
