A £1.2m contract to build a block of 17 timber frame flats in Burgess Hill, East Sussex has been won by Chichester-based Geoffrey Osborne Ltd.

Construction of the three-storey block for the New Downland Housing Association is due to take 11 months to complete.

Prior to winning the contract, Osborne bought the land and saw the project through the planning process as part of a partnering arrangement with the housing association.
