Birmingham-based Palletline plc reports that several of its member companies have made significant investments to improve their logistics and distribution services.
The Leeds depot of G Stiller (Transport) has spent more than £160,000 on two Scania chassis while Edge Transport of Wrexham has just completed a £35,000 extension and refurbishment of its on-site maintenance facilities.
Tomsetts Palletline has moved to new 22,000ft2 premises in the Crawley/Gatwick area and Rutland-based CS Ellis (Group) has introduced the new Palletline livery on its new 6×2 Scania rigid.
Palletline chairman Bob Russett said: “Ongoing investment in infrastructure and fleet facilities ensures that Palletline member companies are able to offer their customers the best possible logistics and distribution service.
“Our members are playing an increasingly important role in the supply-chain operations of their customers, where reliability and efficiency are all-important, particularly in regard to time-sensitive consignments.”
