Panel product specialist Thermopal and laminate flooring producer Pergo are co-ordinating their sales and marketing activities together in a bid to gain more western European business.

The companies, both owned by Pfleiderer, will be involved in joint marketing activities, the first of which is integrating Pergo’s products into Thermopal’s current exhibition at Leutkirch, followed by a further joint showroom at Pfleiderer’s base in Nidda.

“Pergo has well-established contacts among the flooring retailers, [as has] Thermopal among wood retailers,” said Thermopal CEO Frank Fissel. “This means that we will each be able to open doors for the other.”

The partners want to extend their product programme with joint colour and design developments. More joint presentations are also planned for the French and Spanish markets.

“Pergo has spent several years promoting itself in the US and other foreign markets, and now it’s the German market’s turn to experience development and growth,” said Torbjörn Linge, Pergo vice-president Europe.
