Russian prime minister Vladimir Putin has told an industry conference in Komi that 10 timber industry projects worth R25bn will be completed this year.
The prime minister said business interest in the timber sector was growing and investors needed to be able to have logging access without the restriction of red tape.
Mr Putin also visited the Syktyvkar timber plant which manufactures timber frame houses, glulam and sawn timber.
