Record sales were registered in 2003 by primed MDF mouldings specialist W Howard Ltd.
The Manchester-based company credits a growing market place and major investment in new mouldings and priming lines for the success which saw a 27% increase in turnover of the Primed Moulder brand.
Managing director Jonathan Grant said: “Not only has the number of properties being built risen in the last year, but we’ve also seen many users converting from timber to MDF.”
The company has also seen organic growth within its established merchant base.
Mr Grant said: “The seven figure development programme in 2002/3 placed the company at the forefront of the industry. With continuing improvements in efficiencies and additional shifts, the business is set to further increase production and sales during 2004. We are, therefore, well placed for another record year.”
