Countries from around the world have signed up to take part in the “International Business Exchange Forum Renewable Energy (IBEF)” to be held at the Augsburg trade fair on October 21-22.

The organisers say that resource scarcity, climate protection and growing energy requirements in developing countries make it inevitable that alternatives to traditional energy sources must be established.

Representatives from Algeria, Australia, Georgia, Greece, India, Cameroon, Poland, Russia and Uganda have already registered for the forum and the organisers say the need for knowledge transfer is growing and international partners are constantly being sought.

Two other international conventions – Renexpo 2004 and IHE WoodEnergy 2004 – will take place at the Augsburg trade fair at the same time.
