Mr Ulrichs joined Rickmers-Linie in 2005 when he took over responsibility for line management. In 2008 he became director of the division, before being appointed deputy managing director in August last year.
He will work alongside Rüdiger Gerhardt, who has been managing director since July last year, as well as head of logistics services for the Rickmers Group.
