The development of the Russian timber industry is being discussed at the international Forest and Humanity forum which opened in Moscow this week.
Organised by the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, the Russian Chamber of Industry and Commerce and the Union of Timber Industrialists and Timber Exporters, the forum will also look at utilisation of forest resources as well as research and technical achievements of the Russian and foreign forestry industries.
Russian president Vladimir Putin sent a message to the forum urging for effective utilisation of the country’s forests, further investment and improvements in the quality of production.
