Södra Vindkraft is to continue the group’s investment into wind power, which currently stands at SKr650m, as well as becoming a hub for its members looking to invest in wind turbines.
“Setting up wind turbines on their property is a new opportunity for forest owners to generate income and gain more from their forestry,” said Gustav Tibblin, the incoming president of Södra Vindkraft.
“To make these projects more profitable than just setting up individual windmills requires co-ordination and that’s where Södra has something to add.”
The wind power arm of Södra joins the pulp, sawn timber, forestry services and interior products operations that the company operates.
