Northern Ireland-based SAM Mouldings has been selected as a finalist in the European Quality Award 2002.
The MDF mouldings manufacturer, which employs 70 people, is hoping to score a hat trick having already won the Northern Ireland Quality Award in 1998 and the UK Quality Award in 2000. Winning the European Quality Award would make it the only small- to medium-sized enterprise company in the UK to have achieved excellence on a regional, national and European basis.
Managing director Sam McCrea said: “SAM Mouldings is all about excellence in our internal processes and the quality of product and service we provide to our customers. We have satisfied the assessor team that we are finalist material and we hope now that we can satisfy the judges that we are worthy of winning the European Quality Award.”
The winners of the award will be announced in Barcelona at the end of October as part of the European Foundation of Quality Management’s annual forum.
