SCA has reported increased prices for solid wood products in Q2, 2025 compared to Q1, driven primarily by seasonally stronger demand combined with higher raw material costs.
SCA remains cautious due to the uncertain market situation but said the seasonally stronger Q2 demand for solid wood products together with SCA’s focus on strong and long-term customer relationships contributed to a higher delivery volume year-on-year and compared with the preceding quarter.
Producer stocks in Sweden increased during the quarter, while customer stocks are estimated to have remained low.
SCA’s Group H1, 2025 net sales increased to SEK10,541bn (H1 2024: SEK9,849bn). The sales increase was mainly driven by higher selling prices and higher delivery volumes.
EBITDA amounted to SEK3.684bn (H1 2024: SEK3.484bn).
Higher selling prices and higher delivery volumes had a positive impact on earnings, which were offset by higher raw material costs and negative exchange rate effects. A high rate of self-sufficiency in wood raw material reduced the impact of rising wood costs.
