The Scott Group has expanded its timber pallet empire with its biggest acquisition to date – Airdrie-based Marlaw Pallets.

The purchase, for an undisclosed sum, adds 12 sites to the Scott Group, giving a total of 30 sites and a combined turnover of £123m.

Scott said the move puts it on course to achieve a turnover of £150m within three years, a target set last year.

The group recently bought Manchester-based packagaing business Henry Sutcliffe Ltd and engineering supplies firm Fasco.
