The Fabric First Event at the National Motorcycle Museum in Birmingham on February 27 follows a sold-out expo at BRE, Watford, earlier this year in which the UK Timber Frame Association (UKTFA) and UKSIPS Association further promoted energy efficient building fabric.
"They will be showcasing the benefits of adopting Fabric First methodologies to create 21st century energy efficient residential structures and will appeal to architects, specifiers, building designers and main contractors," a spokesperson for the show said.
Speakers will include Rob Pannell, head of home and building at the Zero Carbon Hub, Stewart Dalgarno, director of product development at Stewart Milne Timber Systems, BRE associate director Chris Gaze, Frame Wise managing director Simon Orrells and SIPS Industries managing director Charles Stewart.
"The UKTFA is very excited about joining forces once again with UKSIPS to deliver the Fabric First Event. After the undoubted success of their collaboration in bringing a similar event to the BRE, both parties are eagerly looking forward to this forthcoming event," said Andrew Carpenter, chief executive of the UKTFA.
The event takes place on February 27.
