Forestry Commission Scotland (FCS) is hosting a second free seminar in South Lanarkshire to push the benefits of biomass to businesses.

Guest speakers at the Biomass for Business seminar, being held at Hamilton Park racecourse on September 9, will provide an insight into how biomass can be a cost-effective method of generating power for business premises.

John Farrell, FCS development officer, said it was an ideal time for businesses to look at biomass and woodfuel as a renewable fuel.

“There’s a huge potential for businesses in the area to tap into biomass as a viable energy alternative,” said Mr Farrell. “The seminar aims to talk through the options so that suppliers, installers and customers can all take advantage of the growth of biomass markets.”
