"Due to the positive sales development in Poland in recent years we are now taking the next step and opening our own local sales office. This will enable us to work closely with established customers and build new business relationships," the company said.

Late last year Setra opened a new office in Guangzhou in China. As part of its sales drive in the country, it also took part in a trade mission with ten other leading suppliers to promote Swedish timber and raise awareness of its range of products. Market director Olle Berg said that the Swedish industry was relatively unknown compared to Canadian and Russian suppliers and collaboration was needed to compete with the latter.
