A large volume of Boise Cascade’s BCI-joists have been used in part of the construction of a new ski centre in Ireland.
The BCI-joists were used to construct a gym and other facilities at the Ski Centre, Dublin, which features continuously moving conveyor belts to replicate snow slopes.
Boise-authorised dealer Castle Timber Frame Homes usually supplies floor cassettes fabricated from BCI-joists, but a stick-build approach had to be taken at the Ski Centre because the facility was constructed within an existing, large industrial building, which meant it was impossible to use a crane.
BCI-joists spanning 7m support a pumped screed floor finish.
