Smartroof, the structural insulated roof panel system from Wolf Systems and Wyckham Blackwell, has achieved Robust Standard Detail (RSD).
This makes it the first “room in the roof” panel system to achieve RSD according to Wolf, helping developers to remove the cost of acoustic pre-completion testing in every new building.
“While most RSDs have focused on floor and wall constructions, few currently apply to roof structures and none to ‘room in the roof’ timber frame panel systems,” said Wolf.
RK Timber Engineering has announced it is to use Norbord’s Sterling OSB for large-volume production of the system, providing the single-sheet solution needed to achieve smartroof’s structural strength.
