The Fimma-MADERALIA exhibition in Valencia hosted the Spanish presentation of the European Forest-based Sector Technology Platform (FTP).
The FTP’s director Wilhelm Vorher and secretary-general Andreas Kleimschmit attended the presentation during the November 7-10 show.
FTP co-ordinates R&D policies aimed at guaranteeing increased competitiveness in forest-based industries and at ensuring sustainable development from economic, social and environmental viewpoints.
Data from the Technological Institute of Furniture, Wood, Packaging and Related Industries suggests companies in these sectors have an annual turnover of €600bn, 8% of total European manufacturing.
