Steico has expanded its specification team to support its strategy to drive forward the adoption of wood fibre insulation in mainstream housebuilding and construction across the country.
The company has appointed Andy Cook and Pete Kelly as specification managers. They will work closely with architects, housebuilders, specifiers and contractors to provide technical advice and support to ensure the right products, solutions and accessories are specified to ensure compliance with the Future Homes and Building Standards.
The appointments form part of the company’s strategy to develop the wood fibre insulation market as a product category. It also aims to increase the specification of its rigid boards, flexible batt insulation and air-injected wood fibre insulation across both new build and retrofit projects.
“For architects, specifiers and contractors, this means greater access to practical, project-focused technical support at every stage of their project from design, calculations and modelling through to installation,” said Pete Hollingworth, managing director at Steico.
Mr Cook was originally a joiner/carpenter before moving into contracts and project management, while Mr Kelly most recently he worked at Adaptavate, where he worked with architects, merchants, specifiers and contractors.
