Stella-Jones Inc, the majority owned joint venture company between James Jones & Sons Ltd and Stella International SA, has completed the acquisition of Tangent Rail Corporation, a supplier of treated timber railway sleepers.
The US165m deal expands Stella-Jones capabillities within the US railway market – making it the second largest railway sleeper provider in North America – and also provides the company with coal tar.
