The Stewart Milne Group has underpinned its plans for expansion by securing the services of John Slater to head its Homes operation throughout the UK.
Mr Slater joins the board of the Stewart Milne Group as group managing director – Homes and will be responsible for all housebuilding operations in the UK.
Mr Slater worked with housebuilder Bovis for 10 years, and prior to that was in the oil industry with Chevron. He will be based in Aberdeen but his particular focus will be to expand Stewart Milne Homes across the UK.
Commenting on Mr Slater’s appointed, managing director Glenn Allison said: “We want to take the business to a new level and are targeting a turnover figure of £700m by 2010. We need the right quality of people at every level within our business to achieve our plans. John’s appointment is a major milestone in that process.”
