A study has been commissioned to identify a management strategy for developing Pembrokeshire’s woodland industry.
The initiative, Pren Preseli, links up consultants Froben Ltd, with Welsh woodlands initiative Coed Cymru, the Pembrokeshire National Park Authority and others. It is part-funded by the National Parks Environment Development Fund.
The study will look at woodland resource, wood-using businesses, training, contractor base and development of support infrastructure.
The objective is to recommend future action to create a vibrant and sustainable woodland industry within the county.
