North American wood certification agency TECO aims to diversify its business following a change in ownership.

New owner Steve Winistorfer, who bought the company from Ed Starostovic recently, said taking the helm at TECO as chairman and CEO was an “exciting challenge”.

“Leveraging TECO’s past success, we have developed a strategic plan to strengthen our existing business with OSB and plywood manufacturers, as well as expand into other areas that will diversify our product offerings and make TECO an even better business partner and employer,” said Mr Winistorfer.

Mr Winistorfer was already president of TECO, having been at the company since 1998, when he was technical director,

TECO offers certification and testing services for a variety of engineered wood products, including OSB, LVL, I-joists, glulam and structural adhesives.
