TECO is also the first ROCB to certify both plywood and OSB under the new Japanese Agricultural Standards Law, which was introduced to ensure the country’s certification system meets a true international standard – ISO Guide 65.

Certification agencies and their manufacturing clients need to change to the new system to continue to certify and produce products for the Japanese construction market.

Teco has certified wood products, including OSB, plywood, LVL and glulam, for the Japanese market since 1993.

MAFF representatives audited Teco’s corporate offices and laboratory in March.
