The Tropical Forest Trust (TFT) has organised a one day workshop – Illegal timber in your supply chain; how to spot it, how to stop it – in Hong Kong on March 22.
TFT said it organised the event, which will be held at Harbour Plaza North Point, after receiving many requests from members and non-members to share its experiences on the complex issue.
The workshop is aimed at buyers, sourcing, quality and factory managers, technologists, importers, agents and all those working in the timber supply chain who are faced with trying to exclude illegal timber from their business.
Initial workshops will be held in Asia, but further events are planned in Europe in September 2005.
