Timber Development UK has confirmed that its 2026 Global Market Conference will take place on 4 November at 8 Northumberland Avenue in London, with places strictly limited to 180.
The annual flagship event brings together timber importers, merchants and supply chain participants to assess global forces reshaping the sector.
Organisers pointed to an uncertain demand outlook, rising input prices and an increasingly stringent regulatory environment as factors making market intelligence critical for the year ahead.
Fordaq chairman Sampsa Auvinen will deliver the keynote address, offering a broad assessment of European and international timber market conditions.
A veteran of the forest and timber industries with more than 28 years of experience, Auvinen has previously led the European Organisation of Sawmills as its president and chaired the European Confederation of the Woodworking Industries.
Joining Auvinen on the speaker programme are Noble Francis, economics director at the Construction Products Association; James Davenport, managing director of Metsä Wood UK; and Michelle Buckland, managing director of the Timber Division at Haldane Group, part of GE Robinson. David Hopkins, chief executive of Timber Development UK, will chair the conference.
Delegates can expect expert-led panel discussions, product exhibitions featuring UK and international suppliers, and structured networking sessions with senior decision-makers from across the timber value chain.
The conference is timed to coincide with Timber Development UK’s Annual Awards Dinner, also held on 4 November.
