A convivial atmosphere filled the Bournemouth Highcliff Marriott Hotel on June 7 for the Southern Regional Timber Trade Association annual dinner.

More than 100 timber trade representatives and their guests attended this year’s event, always a popular event on the timber trades’ calendar and located a stone’s throw from West Cliff Beach.

Representatives from leading solid wood and panel product importers and distributors attended, with sponsorship from the likes of Altripan, James Latham, Price & Pierce, Lacy & Middlemiss and Stockwell Forest Products.

Paul Sinha, comedian and popular fixture on television’s the Chase programme, provided lively entertainment, while SRTTA president Charlie Stockwell moderated proceedings with his customary vigour and wit.

Timber Trades Benevolent Society general manager Christella Golbey updated guests about the work of the charity and funds were raised for the TTBS in a raffle and auction.
