The headline figure revealed growth by value from 2010 to last year, despite a 6% overall market decline in the housing windows market, the WWA said.

The meeting was held at Keele University to review the year’s events and make plans for 2013. The WWA said it had set UK quality standards for laminated sections and rationalised stick listings from more than 100 to 20 and published the Palmer report on the UK window market.

"We’re a tight-knit organisation concentrated on increasing market share and imporving quality," said WWA chairman Sean Parnaby.
