The Timber Trade Federation’s (TTF) expansion of services has seen the announcement of a new chain of custody service.

The Federation has chosen Birmingham-based Ligna to partner with on the initiative, which will see a TTF/Ligna group chain of custody service for companies employing 15 or fewer staff.

Ligna can, if requested, carry out an audit of the TTF’s Responsible Purchasing Policy at the same time as any FSC/PEFC audit.

The TTF/Ligna chain of custody and RPP service is for companies employing more than 15 staff.

A number of UK timber traders already use Ligna, including Altripan UK, Premier Forest Products, British Woodworking Federation and Travis Perkins.
