The Timber Trade Federation (TTF) is to form a new Education Training and Careers committee in early 2004.

The initiative is headed up by TTF president Geoff Rhodes who has advocated the need for improving the networking of people and organisations that provide education and training in the forest products industry sector and can highlight career opportunities in the trade.

The first meeting will be held in February and the Forest Education Initiative, the Institute of Wood Science, universities and the timber industry and careers sector are due to be represented.
