Dan Kemp, chairman of Timbmet, is the first recipient of the Timber Trade Federation’s new Lifetime Achievement Award.

Presenting Mr Kemp with the trophy at the TTF’s annual dinner director-general Paul Martin paid tribute to his contribution to the industry and the TTF.

‘He is widely respected and loved in the trade, his encyclopaedic knowledge of the market is unrivalled and he has a reputation as a kind and generous employer,’ he said.

Mr Martin said it was appropriate that Mr Kemp should receive his award in the 50th anniversary year of Timbmet joining the TTF and on the eve of the opening of the company’s new headquarters.
