Ten timber traders have been on a fact-finding mission to Sweden.
The group, hosted by SCA Timber, started their ‘northern lights’ trip at the hi-tech Munksund mill in the Luleå area, near the Arctic Circle.
Next stop was the Scaninge Bollsta sawmill at Sundsvall – the joint venture between SCA and Graninge – followed by Tunadal sawmill, also in Sundsvall.
The final leg of the five-day trip was a visit to Bogrundet plant nursery which cultivates about 50 million plants each year.
