The company has recently achieved ISO 9001:2000, to add to its existing certification to both the Chiltern Q-Mark and BWF Certifire schemes.

The new ISO certificate, awarded by British Standards, means that Vicaima fire doors may have a glass opening added in the company’s Swindon headquarters – and still be 100% fire regulation approved.

This, says Vicaima, is in contrast to most other major door makers which only offer this service third party, which means the customer must buy the door from the manufacturer, then arrange to have it glazed elsewhere.

“As Building Regulations get tougher and tougher, it is essential we do all we can to help our customers meet them,” said Vicaima UK managing director Peter Johnson.

“This new rating means that customers can get glazed doors direct from us and still have the highest levels of quality assurance.”
