A resolution on making an environmental due diligence system a condition of Timber Trade Federation (TTF) membership will be proposed at The Federation’s AGM on June 18.
Debate on whether to make the TTF’s Responsible Purchasing Policy (RPP) mandatory has continued for some time, with TTF president Neil Donaldson recently stating that he hoped the issue would be settled by the summer.
He admitted resolution of the RPP’s status had been difficult but was hopeful a solution acceptable to all would be found.
Meanwhile, the TTF has announced several new members, including modified wood brand Kurawood, Smile Worldwide, the Timber Packaging and Pallet Confederation, Fepco International Europe, Lancer Sideloaders and Poyry Forest Industry Consulting.
