Voting is now open for the TTJ Awards 2004.

This year all the voting will be undertaken by mail or by phone, with Duo Marketing co-ordinating the whole operation.

Companies qualifying to vote will include TTJ’s core readership involved in the onward sale of timber and panel products, such as timber merchants and builders merchants. We will also be asking for votes from a wider representation of timber , wood and panel products consumers, including the truss rafter, timber frame , fencing , pallet, wood packaging and furniture sectors .

Voting is limited to one vote per company. Your vote is guaranteed and totally confidential and the information you give will not be revealed to any other party, or to the TTJ Awards organisers.

Qualifying companies will be mailed a form to complete and return. Each form will be personalised and include a unique reference number. Simple instructions will guide you through the process.

Through April and May, representatives of Duo Marketing will also call potential voters to take nominations over the phone. For security, you cannot call us – Duo will call you. They will attempt to contact everybody by early May and if you are not available will leave a message.

The TTJ Awards voted for by timber and wood products consumers are Softwood Trader of the Year sponsored by ABP, Hardwood Trader of the Year sponsored by Canada Wood UK, Panels Trader of the Year sponsored by Weyerhaeuser Europe Ltd, Plywood Trader of the Year sponsored by W Howard Ltd, General Trader of the Year sponsored by Arch Timber Protection Ltd and Small Business of the Year sponsored by Osmose. The company which gets most nominations overall will win the TTJ Timber Trader of the Year sponsored by our Gold Sponsor UCM Timber plc.

This year there are three Awards which will be decided by independent judging panels. They are Excellence in Marketing sponsored by Combilift Ltd, Trainee of the Year sponsored by SCA Timber Supply Ltd and Best Technical Information Support sponsored by TRADA.

So please start thinking about who you want to vote for now and wait for the letter or call from Duo Marketing.
