Research by Spa Laminates has revealed that 90,000 people visited its website, www.veneerselector.com, between September 2003 and August 2004.
The site contains more than 200 veneer examples and Spa Laminates said a top choice for architects and designers is microberlinia Brazzavillensis – otherwise known as zebrano or zebra wood. This is closely followed by three of the darkest veneers available – American black walnut, wenge and Macassar ebony.
