Willamette Industries has set a date for its annual shareholder meeting, with Weyerhaeuser‘s hostile takeover bid being top of the agenda.

The meeting will be held on June 7. Shareholders will vote to decide four seats on Willamette’s 10-member board of directors.

Weyerhaeuser launched its takeover bid last November. If successful, the new merged company would be the second-largest forest products company in the US.
