Ladymead Joinery is now able to tackle larger projects since installing an SCM Windor 20L CNC machining centre.

The company, started by Tony Clark in 1999, contacted SCM after being unable to find skilled craftsmen.

Ladymead’s Windor 20L has a tenoning section with CNC end stop and cut-off saw, followed by two CNC 620mm tenoning stacks which work independently in two axes, while the profile section has three 320mm stacks to achieve multiple profile types and rebate depths.

“I feel far more comfortable having purchased the machine rather than employing additional people and the uncertanties that go with that,” said Mr Clark.

Ladymead had now placed an order for an SCM Superset Class NT – a CNC planer moulder with HSK tool holders.
