The Timber Trade Federation (TTF) is appealing to members to donate wood for the construction of the Wood for Good stand at the inaugural Timber Expo show in September.

TTF chief executive John White said that the material was needed by September 12 and stressed that “all contributions will be publicly acknowedged”.

“As I may have a number of offers I will select on a first-come first-serve basis,” he said. “And I’ll put companies who are interested in helping in touch with the stand builders in Cardiff direct.”

The material needed includes two 1220×2440 mm boards which will be used to produce a “a cut-out section forming a 2440x2440mm circle” to be made, in turn, into a tree logo.

Also required are four 1220x2440mm floor boards for making 18 mm boards with hardwood flooring fixed on top.

“And the stand builder has asked to be advised on the thickness of the completed board so they can ensure it is flush with the rest of the platform,” said Mr White.
