Forty composite wood-plastic windows from the Andersen Woodright range have been supplied by Black Millwork to an exclusive property in Scotland.
The windows are made using Fibrex, created from more than 50% pine wood fibre bonded with thermoplastic polymer.
The Woodwright double-hung slender profile windows in an oak finish were specified in a variety of sizes for the Fife six-bedroom home, which incorporates a gym and stables, plus three acres.
The windows’ design allowed installers to leave the outer frame intact and just replace the inner sash, preserving the original design.
Black Millwork said the method was a simple alternative to full frame replacement and did not require scaffolding.
