Wood featured more prominently at this year’s Surface Design Show, with exhibits from companies including James Latham and Egger (UK) Ltd.

Visitor numbers at the event, held at London’s Business Design Centre, were up 65% to 3,538 compared to last year’s inaugural show. Exhibitor space was 50% bigger.

The exhibition showcased the latest innovations in flooring, cladding, ceiling and wall systems, coatings, tiles, glass, stone, laminates and worktops.

Tembec of Canada launched its Muskoka range of solid exotic species, including Brazilian mahogany, cherry, walnut and paraju.
